Old Jail Inn Parke County

127 S Jefferson St
Rockville, IN  47872

The Old Jail Inn Parke County started 3 years ago with the fascination of an 1879 flat steel, riveted door in the basement of the County Jail.  The Jail was emptied in 1998 and since the last prisoner was transferred to the new jail accross town, the doors were closed. In 2010,  the jail was purchased by Debra Ackerman and Tony Winn, just for the door, with no ideas for the rest of the aged Jail. In four short days, they conceived the idea to turn the Jail into a Bed & Breakfast. The Old Jail Inn is the only county Jail in the world , turned destination vacation spot.  With the bars intact, and 300 gallons of fresh paint, it has become a tourist attraction for people around the world. One year later the basement was turned into a Winery, The Drunk Tank Winery. The Drunk Tank Winery presented Their collectible Covered Bridge Wines.  Be sure to follow us opn Facebook for special events in our County.
