Parke County Annual Festivals

Check out the Holiday Festivals throughout Parke County.

Join in the holiday fun and follow twisting country roads through covered bridges to villages filled with the joy of the season.� Activities abound throughout the Covered Bridge Capital with shopping for arts and crafts, dining on country food and the sound of the music of the holiday season.� No matter what your taste, you'll find something for every name on your Christmas shopping list.� There's lots to see and do so make plans to stay awhile in a cozy Bed & Breakfast or family hotel.

Parke County Maple Fair - Last weekend of February and the first weekend of March.

You can visit several different working sugar camps, either by picking up a map and driving, or by taking the bus tour. Maps are available at the Parke County 4-H Fairgrounds where you can also taste the maple syrup with pancakes and sausage. Visit our maple camps, historic mills,� and Billie Creek Village. Enjoy home cooked foods, arts & crafts and our many covered bridges. Don't forget the antiques and flea market finds. Historic Mansfield Roller Mill will be open for touring.

 

Parke County Covered Bridge Festival - Beginning the second Friday of October running through the following weekend for 10 days.

With 31 covered bridges, Parke County, Indiana is known as the Covered Bridge Capital of the World. And beginning on the second Friday of October for 10 days, they celebrate those bridges with the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival. Several communities invite you to eat, shop, tour and, admire the bridges. In Mansfield Village, an 1820s roller mill and an 1867 covered bridge make it a must see visit. Bridgeton also has a mill and a covered bridge over the mill pond. You'll also find hundreds of vendors here. Mecca offers handmade crafts, a one-room school, and a 1901 high school. Montezuma is where you'll find arts and crafts and a hog roast on weekends. Rosedale is filled with arts and crafts, antiques and food. In Tangier, you'll find five covered bridges, and the festival's world famous "buried roast beef." In Rockville, the festival headquarters, you can shop among huge tents of arts and crafts around the 1879 county courthouse. This is also where you'll find guided tours and great country food.
